We are tracking along nicely on our summer bucket list. Last week my sweet (albeit moderately insane) friend Kristi agreed to accompany me and both boys to the Perot Nature and Science Museum here in Dallas. I didn't even have to pay her. She'll never make that mistake again.
In my infinite wisdom I misread the member hours online and we were there an hour early. This would not have been a big deal normally since they have outdoor things around the museum, except that it was raining. Well played, Tara.
After 15 minutes of negotiating with several different museum employees, they finally let us into the lobby. After a moderate fiasco involving tickets, being in the wrong lines, nursing a baby in public, and generally doing everything possible wrong, we finally made our way to the actual exhibits.
Henry had a blast in the childrens' museum area sorting groceries at a farmers market, playing with boats in the locks, and running through a miniature city.
There were two other boys dressed exactly like him in green shorts and navy & white striped shirts. It's my outfit of choice when I take him to public places because it's typically easy to spot him. This was seriously confusing.
Max was once again just happy to be included. Well hello, handsome.
Another item down, 10 to go. We are hoping to cross off fire works, jalapeno margaritas, and mini golf this holiday weekend. Sounds like a winner.
