The goal is pretty much the same: bright and white, classic, timeless, and a teeeensy bit southern/farmhouse/cottagey.

This project would have also included a custom closet. The stuff of dreams. I'm not a professional closet planner or organizer, so I really needed to see this three dimensionally to get a feel for what components might work. The closet is big, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will have enough storage without careful planning.
I used a FREE program called Sketch Up to create a 3D model of the closet. Free as in you can download it to your hot little computer right now. It's a very user friendly program and I'd highly recommend it if you're really struggling with visualizing a remodel, or thinking about getting a new piece of furniture and you don't know how it will fit, or if you're into video games like the SIMS but only play so you can build their houses.
What, that's just me?
At any rate, you draw shapes and build the room, then search their 3D model warehouse to find all of the "stuff" to put in it. If you can't find the stuff, you can build most things fairly easily. Or at least build it closely enough to give you an idea of how it will work in the space.
And here's the elevation of one of the walls to start to indicate what could go where. For this particular project, the idea would be to get this model somewhat close to what my in-laws needed, then meet with a closet pro to fit it out with the right products and sizes.
To see the rest of the images for my in-law's place, check out the full Pinterest board. There are some gorgeous things on there that just wouldn't fit on one mood board. And stay tuned for the Guest Bath and Living Room mood board reveals in the next couple of weeks.
