The group got together in April to catch up on life and show off what we've been working on since we last met. The group's consensus was that without the monthly group meeting, we weren't quilting as much as we would like. Hello, accountability.
Even still, there were lots of great quilts to see. My apologies, I left my nice camera at home, so these were just snapped with my iPhone. I'll do better next time.
This is a Christmas quilt, believe it or not. So cute.
This wasn't paper pieced. Each of those teeny tiny diamonds were measured, cut, and pieced. WOW.
Angela made a Sewing Circle Tote by Elizabeth Hartman. I want one! Your fabric choice is always spot on.
Check out the quilting on that. The diamonds were such a great choice.
My Scrappy Trip Along quilt (which I'll share more with you guys once it's finished). Also, my face. I promise, I do actually like this quilt, even though I'm making classic "not impressed" face.
This is all needle turn applique. Done BY HAND. Respect, Martha. Respect.
This quilt is made of denim and weighs nine hundred pounds. Probably.
This quilt by Susan is obviously great, but check out that scrappy binding. Love that little touch.
Shannon rocked this Rebel Quilt by Libs Elliott for a TCU fan. Go frogs! I want one of these too.
I am in love with that bird fabric. I've used it on a few quilts myself, and it just makes the project.
I WANT THIS ELIZABETH! Do you hear me, Elizabeth?!? Gold metallic fabric is the way to my heart.
Michael's sampler quilt from our first 6 quilt club assignments. It's glorious.
If you're local to Dallas and want to join us, or just want to follow along online, visit www.modernquiltclub.com and see what's happening. The study guides are available for anyone to download. It's a great way to push yourself to try a new technique.
Be bold. Quilt on.

I plan to be there in June! Just got to get through my son's wedding on the 30th first :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see you. Congrats on the upcoming wedding! My brother and sister-in-law are getting married this year (to different people, not to each other!) so I can relate to the wedding busyness.
